SUNY Best hosts discussion on small business administration
BINGHAMTON, NY – The SUNY Business and Education Cooperative of the Southern Tier (SUNY BEST) will host a presentation, titled “Small Business Administration - e200 Emerging Leaders in Training Initiative,” at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 1 in room 1324C, Library North, located on the University campus. Director of Marketing and Communications for the US Small Business Administration (SBA) in Syracuse, NY, Cathy Rae Pokines, will highlight the advantages of this training program. This presentation is free and open to the public.
Pokines will discuss planning and start-ups, as well as best practices and lessons learned by the SBA. In addition, participants will find out how the e200 Emerging Leaders program, an intensive training initiative to accelerate growth of high potential small business, will bolster entrepreneurial success and provide a more sustainable economic base in distressed areas of upstate New York. The training is open to small businesses that have annual revenues of $400,000 to $10 Million and have been in business for at least three years.
SUNY BEST is a volunteer group working to forge strong alliances, strengthen industry specific needs and provide information and outreach for business.
