Binghamton University offers theatre tour of Scotland

2007-03-27

The Binghamton Alumni Association and the Theatre Department are coordinating a trip to Scotland, scheduled to run from August 2-11.  The tour is open to the public.
Travelers will enjoy theatre performances, various excursions to ancient castles, visits to the Scottish towns of Inverness, Perth and Stirling, tours of the Talisker Distillery and a Loch Ness cruise.  In addition to an introduction to Scotland, participants will have time for sightseeing and exploration on their own.

The final two days of the tour will be spent in Edinburgh, and coincides with annual performing arts festival.  Known as The ‘Fringe,’ the festival includes performances by actors, dancers, mimes, jugglers, comedians and musicians who assemble every August for the world’s largest indoor/outdoor “happening.”  Be a part of this excitement as the final two days are spent in Edinburgh.

The tour costs $2499 per person, which includes roundtrip airfare, bed and breakfast accommodations and itinerary activities.  A $500 deposit is required to reserve a place on the tour.
