Binghamton UniversityBinghamton University hosts “MuscleBound”
Binghamton University’s Eating Awareness Committee will present “MuscleBound,” a multimedia performance which explores male body image disorders, at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 1, in the Mandela Room of the University Union.
Written and performed by Michael Feldman, “MuscleBound” sheds light on the increasing number of men with eating disorders and distorted body image. The performance, which is free and open to the public, will include a 90-minute one-man show, film documentary and panel discussion.
Feldman portrays three men, each tired of their own appearance, who decide to alter their bodies in different and destructive ways. The performance deals with issues such as male anorexia, bulimia, steroid abuse and muscle dysmorphia.
The program is sponsored by the Eating Awareness Committee, the Binghamton University Faculty Masters and Sodexho Campus Services at Binghamton University. For more information call 607-777-2821.
