The August 2013 report from the Congressional Joint Economic Committee shows that Post 9/11 Veteran unemployment in New York is at 10.7%, higher than the national average. The goal of this program is to provide a deeper understanding of the benefits, challenges and needs of today's veteran workforce, as well as provide an understanding of the challenges facing veterans as they look to transition to civilian status and how best to acclimate a veteran to your company.

Binghamton University is committed to providing a veteran-friendly campus and assisting student-veterans with transition into the University and has been recognized nationally as being a military-friendly college.

This series is co-sponsored by the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce and the Southern Tier Veterans Support Group. Online registration is available at For more information, contact Christine Stezzi at 607-722-4513 or
