Ryan Yarosh promoted to assistant director of media relations at Binghamton University
Ryan Yarosh has been promoted to assistant director of media relations at Binghamton University, State University of New York.
In his expanded role, Yarosh will be responsible for coordinating, managing and promoting local and regional media coverage of Binghamton University events and activities. He will also coordinate the University’s speaker’s bureau, facilitate the ‘Ask a Scientist’ program, and manage the Office of Communications and Marketing’s media relation internship program.
During his tenure with the University, Yarosh has developed and fostered strong relationships with media representatives that have served Binghamton University well by advancing its reputation.
Yarosh is a 2006 Professional Employees Council’s Distinguished Service Award Recipient. He serves as board member for the local Meals on Wheels chapter; as the Communications Association of the Southern Tier’s (CAST) director of publicity; and as a member of the Family Violence Prevention Council’s media advisory committee.
Yarosh joined the Office of Communications and Marketing in 2004 as media relations specialist. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Binghamton in 2002 and is currently working toward a master’s in public administration degree. Before joining the University, Yarosh served as assistant news director at WICZ-TV 40 in Binghamton.
