Binghamton University Scholars to host KidCare events

Binghamton University Scholars are hosting a Project KidCare photo ID event from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, November 19, in room 111 of the Appalachian Collegiate Center, located in the Mountainview community on campus.

This event, which is free and open to the public, will provide parents with high-quality photographs of their children and a KidCare ID booklet, which will include identifying information, such as vital statistics and fingerprints.

Project KidCare, developed by the Polaroid Corporation in conjunction with The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, is designed to raise awareness of child safety and provide parents with an effective tool to aid law enforcement authorities in the search of a missing child.

The event is sponsored by the Binghamton University Scholars, New York State University Police, Sodexho Campus Services and will feature food and entertainment.
The Scholars are a selected group of Binghamton University students that participate in unique classes and Leadership Forums during their undergraduate career.  These forums provide direction and funding for community service programs, events, and activities.
