Distinguished Binghamton University alum returns for Homecoming ‘05
As part of Homecoming weekend at Binghamton University, Margaret Lamphere Bellville will present “Women as Leaders: Personal Power and Risk Taking” from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, in the Anderson Center Reception Room. This presentation is free and open to the public.
Bellville, the former vice-president/COO for Charter Communications, will offer insight and advice on how to compete in the workplace, develop positive mentoring relationships and tips on breaking through the glass ceiling.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts from Binghamton in 1975, Belville went on to complete the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School. She is recognized as one of the top female executives and innovators in the fast-changing cable and telecommunications industry. Belville is the recipient of numerous professional honors and distinctions, including being named one of the top 10 woman in business in Atlanta; “Woman of the Year” by the California Chapter of Woman in Cable; “Woman to Watch” by the Atlanta Chapter of Women in Cable; and “Woman of the Year,” a national award by Women in Cable.
