Muslim/Jewish relations explored through lecture, art exhibit at Binghamton University
A discussion of Muslim/Jewish relations titled “From Conflict to Conversation,” will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, in Casadesus Recital Hall in the Fine Arts building on the Binghamton University campus.
The lecture will feature speakers from the Children of Abraham, an international organization that seeks to forge alliances between Jewish and Muslim youth around the world. Hillel, the Jewish Student Union, and the Muslim Student Association, will co-sponsor this event, which is free and open to the public.
Following the lecture, a reception will be held in the University Art Museum to showcase a traveling exhibit titled “A Journey of Discovery,” which combines text and images to highlight the commonalities that Islam and Judaism share. The exhibit will be on display through March 19 in the Art Museum located in the Fine Arts Building, room 179.
