Decker School of Nursing to hold open house
Binghamton University’s Decker School of Nursing will hold an open house for prospective undergraduate and graduate students from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 27, in Academic Building B on the campus.
Students interested in pursuing bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degrees in nursing are encouraged to attend. Campus tours will begin at 11 a.m. and information sessions describing the undergraduate programs, admissions and financial aid will be held at 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m..
Prospective undergraduate students interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing will learn about traditional plans for freshmen and transfers, a Registered Nurse (RN) to Bachelor of Science program, the Accelerated Program Plans for RNs and students with baccalaureate or higher degrees, and an RN to Master of Science program. Part-time study is available.
Information on master's programs in community health, family and gerontological nursing with functional roles in nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, educator and administrator will be presented, as will information on concentrations in maternal/child nursing, rural nursing and home care. Graduate programs are available at the master’s degree and PhD levels, with the PhD program having a rural focus. In addition, there are post-master’s nurse practitioner certificate programs.
