Binghamton University to present dance showcase
The Children’s Dance Theatre at Binghamton University will present a dance showcase at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 21, in the Anderson Center Concert Theatre.
The showcase will feature pieces choreographed and danced by Binghamton University students in various dancing styles such as lyrical ballet, musical theatre dance, tap and hip-hop.
Tickets will be available at the door at $2 for children and $4 for adults and students.
In addition to the performance on February 21, area schools or home schooling communities are invited to two free weekday performances of the show to be held on Thursday February 19, and Friday, February 20. Both performances will be held at 10 a.m. Call 607-777-6951 for more information.
The Children’s Dance Theatre has served the Greater Binghamton area for 27 years and is one of the oldest dance groups in existence at Binghamton University. The group often travels to area elementary schools to perform in school assemblies and offers performances for school audiences on campus.
