Binghamton University offers fundraising workshop
The Professional Development and Research (PDR) arm of Binghamton University’s School of Education and Human Development will host a workshop on understanding the principals and practices of fundraising.
“Creating a Proactive Plan for Gifts and Endowments” will be held Thursday, February 26. Participants will learn about the different kinds of fundraising, the psychology of donating, and how to maintain long-range development programs. The workshop will review case studies and assist participants in the development of their own business plan to establish a multi-year fundraising program.
The workshop will be taught by Michael Degenhart, associate director of the Office of Trusts, Estates and Planned Giving at Cornell University. Degenhart holds an MBA from the University of Rochester and has over seven years of planned and major gift experience.
The workshop will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in classroom facilities on the third floor of 218 - 222 Water Street in downtown Binghamton. The workshop costs $129 by check, $135 by credit card or purchase order.
