Binghamton University hosts discussion on cross-cultural educational leadership
Binghamton University’s School of Education and Human Development and the Professional Educators Graduate Organization (PEGO) will host a reception and panel discussion on cross-cultural issues in educational leadership at 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, in the Public Service Programs Center. The reception and discussion is free and open to the public.
The panel discussion, which follows the reception, will feature school principals from the United Kingdom who are touring schools in the Greater Binghamton area. The visiting educators will discuss the state of education in Britain.
During their weeklong visit to the area, the British principals will work with their American counterparts in area secondary schools, sharing their educational experiences.
The British visitors are sponsored by the British Council, an organization that promotes international relations in the United Kingdom, and the National College for School Leadership. Activities and events associated with the visit are being coordinated by Judy Kugelmass, associate professor in BU’s School of Education and Human Development.
