edit scores to be focus of women business owners roundtable


“Solving the Credit Score Mystery,” will be the topic of the Small Business Development Center’s Women Business Owners Roundtable discussion from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 20, at the Binghamton Regency on Water Street in downtown Binghamton.

Val Sherwood, a certified consumer credit counselor, will discuss the importance of credit scores and how they are determined. She will also offer tips on how to improve overall credit scores.

Sherwood has worked for Consumer Credit Counseling for six years. Prior to her role as credit counselor, Sherwood worked in the banking industry for over 17 years where she specialized in loan origination.

The roundtable costs $7 a person and includes a continental breakfast. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards, brochures and product samples to share.
