Binghamton University teams up with the Art School for “Winter Youth Art Escape”

 Binghamton University's Office of Continuing Education and Outreach, in collaboration with the Art School, will be holding the “Winter Youth Art Escape”, starting February 18. The one-week program will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Art School, located at 801 Main Street in Vestal.

The program will be split into two groups, one for ages 5 to 9, and the other for youth ages 10 to 15. Each day, children will experience an in-depth photography course with photographer Peter Shell, including how to hand-build a camera and develop film. Additional classes include: Pottery, African Butterfly Art, Painting Landscapes in Acrylic, Making Ink and Paint/Indian Hide Painting, and Watercolors.

The Art School is a community-serviced based organization whose goal is to provide affordable art education to all people and use art to educate the community.
