Students to hit the jackpot with fundraiser
The College-in–the-Woods dining hall at Binghamton University will be transformed into a casino beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday, April 5, complete with roulette, black jack and chance wheels with all proceeds going to a good cause. The event is open to the public.
Known as Casino-in-the-Woods, the annual event is hosted by the College-in-the-Woods area government. Each year Casino-in-the-Woods benefits a different local organization. This year’s proceeds will go to the Animal Care Council and organizers are hoping to raise $1,600.
A cover charge of $2 includes refreshments and music. Participants will then be able to win real money by purchasing chips to play games of chance.
