Binghamton University, Broome Community College to host financial aid workshop
Binghamton University will join Broome Community College in hosting a financial aid workshop at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 1, in Lecture Hall 2 on the Binghamton University campus. The workshop is free and open to the public.
The workshop is being held in support of Student Financial Aid Day to be hosted by SUNY campuses statewide. BU and BCC join over 30 campuses in participating in the event.
“This is a great opportunity for students and families to learn first-hand how they can take advantage of the financial aid that is available to help them pay for college,” said State University of New York Chancellor Robert L. King
Financial aid experts from BU and BCC will be on hand to answer questions and provide assistance with financial aid applications, types of aid available and the award process. The experts will also provide assistance in completing the 2003 –2004 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), a form required for all financial aid. Families planning to attend should bring their 2002 or 2001 tax returns, bank statements and 2002 untaxed income statements.
