Public speaking focus of women business owners roundtable
“Public Speaking for Scaredy Cats” will be the topic of the Small Business Development Center’s Women Business Owners Roundtable discussion from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. Friday, August 23, at the Binghamton Regency on Water Street in downtown Binghamton.
Peg Sever, director of the Broome Leadership Institute, will offer tips and techniques on how to overcome the fear of public speaking. She will also discuss how to make effective and interesting presentations.
In addition to heading up the Broome Leadership Institute, Sever is also the manager of small business and special programs for the Broome Chamber of Commerce. She has a bachelor’s degree from Marywood College in Scranton, PA.
The roundtable costs $7 a person and includes a continental breakfast. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards, brochures and product samples to share.
