Binghamton University workshop teaches businesses how to retain employees

Are you worrying about how to improve your employee retention rates? Concerned about how to retain top-notch employees without boosting their paycheck out of the ballpark? Best-selling author Doug Krug may have some of the answers.

On Thursday, May 30, Krug will share his insights and experience in working with hundreds of organizations in creating a workplace of choice -- a place where people want to come, stay and work.

The one-day workshop will run from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Public Service Programs Center on the Binghamton University campus. The topics to be covered in the workshop include:

• Using the right incentives

• Rewarding the right behavior

• Managing employee strengths

• Reviewing growth and training opportunities

The instructor, Doug Krug, will provide inspiration and information, giving participants the tools that are immediately applicable in every walk of life. Krug’s broad experience includes working with executive teams in both the public and private sector, including Hewlett-Packard, Lockheed-Martin, Carolina Power & Light, General Electric, Boeing, MCI WorldCom and Texaco.

Tuition costs are $159, which includes course materials, instruction, refreshments, lunch and parking.
