“The Minds of Boys and Girls: How to Help Our Sons and Daughters Do Their Best in School and Life” topic of Binghamton University Forum
Michael Gurian, co-founder of the Gurian Institute, will discuss “The Minds of Boys and Girls: How to Help Our Sons and Daughters Do Their Best in School and Life” on Friday, March 20, at the Binghamton University Forum luncheon to be held at the Binghamton Regency in downtown Binghamton.
The lunch buffet begins at 12:30 p.m. with Gurian’s discussion following promptly at 1:00 p.m. The focus will be on how to help children of all ages to succeed in school and life.
Gurian is a family therapist, corporate consultant, lecturer and The New York Times bestselling author of 25 books published in 21 languages. The Gurian Institute conducts research internationally, launches pilot programs and trains professionals. Gurian has been called “the people’s philosopher” for his ability to bring together people’s ordinary lives and scientific ideas.
Gurian has pioneered efforts to bring neurobiology and brain research into homes, schools, corporations and public policy. Some of his books on child development include The Wonder of Boys, The Wonder of Girls, Boys and Girls Learn Differently, and his most recent, Nurture The Nature.
