Binghamton University video “Discover Binghamton- The Premier Public University” debuts online
BINGHAMTON, NY -- "Discover Binghamton – The Premier Public University," a video highlighting academics, research, sustainability and student life at Binghamton University is now available online. The video, shown recently to a small audience and praised by the new State University of New York Chancellor Nancy L. Zimpher, can be viewed by visiting http://youtube.com/BinghamtonUniversity.
The video showcases Binghamton’s achievements as a world-class institution that combines a broadly interdisciplinary, international education with one of the most vibrant research programs in the nation. “This video enabled us with the ability to tell Binghamton’s story in a very compelling and visual way while capturing the spirit of achievement at Binghamton,” said Interim University Associate VP for Communications and Marketing Greg Delviscio. “We were also fortunate to find students, faculty and staff who were able to assist with the production from start to finish.”
An online video title competition was launched where participants could submit and vote for title ideas. “During filming, the campus community seemed intrigued as well as curious to see the final outcome so we decided to make them part of the process by giving them a say in what the video title should be,” said Ryan Yarosh, Assistant Director of Media Relations and Video Project Director. The video, which was filmed and edited over the course of several weeks, includes aerial footage of campus as well as interviews with students, faculty and staff.
