Binghamton University’s School of Management moves up the ranking among nation’s top business schools
BINGHAMTON, NY -- Binghamton University’s School of Management made significant gains in its ranking among the nation’s top business schools, according to BusinessWeek, which yesterday released its ratings of undergraduate business programs. The School of Management moved up six slots among public institutions, coming in at 12th place from last year’s ranking of 18th. It also ranked 35th among all undergraduate programs, jumping 13 spots from 48th last year.
“I am extremely proud of this strong ranking from BusinessWeek,” said Binghamton University President Lois B. DeFleur. “It reflects our quality programs, the accomplishments of our faculty and bright, talented students.”
The BusinessWeek ranking also recognized the School of Management for outstanding teaching quality and job placement, as well strong facilities and service resources.
“This achievement is a result of our outstanding faculty, innovative programs and excellent students,” said Upinder S. Dhillon, dean of the School of Management. “Our world-class faculty members inspire students, create cutting-edge knowledge and directly impact the business world.”
Last fall, the School of Management welcomed its best undergraduate class ever, with an average SAT score of 1325 and high school average of 95 percent.
