Binghamton University to host National Lab Day
BINGHAMTON, NY – Area children in kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to visit Binghamton University on May 12 for National Lab Day. The event is part of a new grassroots initiative designed to reinvigorate science and math education in the nation’s schools and after-school programs and lead to increased U.S. competitiveness.
At Binghamton, the event will include a morning of demonstrations, tours and hands-on activities in disciplines ranging from chemistry to archaeology and from computer science to physics. The University will also provide faculty and student speakers to visit classrooms as part of the initiative.
