Thank you for visiting our home on the web! Before a student enrolls in a college or university, it is important that they get a sense of all aspects of the community, including what diversity feels like on the campus. The MRC provides programs and resources that encourage the collaborative work, personal and professional development of four primary groups: historically underrepresented ethnic populations, the religious student community, the cultural Greek-lettered community (4 of our 7 Greek Councils) and our LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered, Queer) community.
Binghamton University is synonymous with quality and success. The goal of the Multicultural Resource Center is to enhance the developmental experience of our students both as future professionals and world citizens. We strive to provide faculty, staff and students in our community with workshops, trainings and activities designed to increase their competencies personally and professionally in regard to cultural awareness and inclusive community building. The MRC serves nearly 100 cultural groups on campus while partnering with campus offices throughout the year.
Throughout our website, we encourage you to check out our upcoming programs, the listing of university recognized cultural groups, off campus resources including a listing of minority owned businesses and religious establishments where students attend locally. Visit us often for updates. And we look forward to seeing you when you visit campus!
