Binghamton Blowout Block Party planned for Sept. 19
Binghamton University’s Catalysts for Intellectual Capital 2020 (CIC2020) and the City of Binghamton’s Department of Economic Development will present the Binghamton Blowout Block Party (B3P) from 4-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, in downtown Binghamton.

The event is aimed to showcase what the University and community have to offer. Court Street will be closed from Front Street to State Street and will feature information booths, food vendors, performers, games and contests and more. A complete list of participants can be found at

The event is the culmination of research completed last spring by the CIC Leadership Institute (CIC-LI), a group of students who participated in a four-credit leadership course modeled after the Broome Leadership Institute, a program run through the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce.

A goal of B3P is to familiarize students, particularly freshmen, with the city as residents and citizens of the community.
