Toy donations offer chance to win free parking
Anyone who donates a toy to the Toys for Tots campaign sponsored by Parking Services has the opportunity to enter a drawing to win five days of free parking in the Visitors Paid Lot or the Parking Garage.
Toy drop-off barrels will be placed at the Visitors Paid Lot, the Parking Garage, the Information Booth, Parking Services Office, Admissions Office, the Couper Administration Building lobby, the University Downtown Center lobby and the Institute for Child Development.
Anyone bringing in a new toy while the barrel locations are staffed can register for the drawing.
Four names will be drawn on Dec. 23 and each winner will receive five days of free parking in the Paid Lot or the Parking Garage.
Publishing workshop to assist faculty, graduate students
Gary Dunham, executive director of the SUNY Press, will hold a workshop from 4-6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11, in LS-2504G, on strategies for publishing manuscripts and edited books.
This event, sponsored by the University Libraries, is targeted to junior faculty and graduate students to help them successfully prepare, promote and communicate with publishers on scholarly projects.

Credentials requests due to CDC by Dec. 18
Have you been asked to prepare a letter of recommendation for a student who has a Jan. 1 or Jan. 15 application deadline?
Students wishing to have credentials mailed by Dec. 24 must submit requests to the Career Development Center by 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18. All letters that a student intends to send must have arrived to CDC when the request is submitted.
