Homecoming 2003 to bid
This year?s theme is ?Hot Hula,? with a variety of new events and activities. An alumni art exhibition will kick off festivities Friday, October 10. A student-organized parade of floats ? the ?Brain Train? ? is expected to meander around campus on Saturday morning. Also new this year is a talent/lip-sync show scheduled for Sunday evening.
Old favorites such as the barbecue ? this year aptly titled Baxter?s Village Luau ? and the ?Greek God? contest are also on the schedule. Other 2003 Homecoming activities include the announcement of the winner of the Exemplary Student of the Year award and the popular Black Student Union fashion show.
A special Broadway revue will take place at 8 p.m. Saturday, October 11, in the Anderson Center Concert Theater. The concert, ?100 Years of Broadway,? will feature stars from smash hits such as Cats, Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables and Rent.
