Alumni gather for Homecoming concert

Alumni who have built successful careers in film and theater will return to campus during Homecoming Weekend to collaborate in what promises to be a special benefit concert. The concert, titled “100 Years of Broadway,” is set for 8 p.m. Saturday, October 11, in the Anderson Center Concert Theater.

After the sold-out success of his “100 Years of Broadway” concert worldwide, composer/producer and BU alumnus Neil Berg ’86, returns to campus to produce and direct a special performance of the show.

Composer of the off-Broadway hit musical The Prince and the Pauper, Berg will present a concert tribute to the Great White Way featuring top Broadway stars, including other BU graduates who have gone on to careers in film and theater. Performers will recreate songs from hit shows such as Phantom of the Opera, Jekyll and Hyde, Chicago, Les Miserables, Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats and Rent.

Proceeds from the show will benefit student scholarships. Tickets are $25 for the general public and $10 for BU students. Tickets are available at the Anderson Center Box Office from noon-5:30 p.m. weekdays, by calling 777-ARTS, on line at and at the door.
