Your Guide to Homecoming Weekend

Homecoming 2004 will bring a Cajun flavor to the Binghamton University campus Friday through Sunday, October 8-10.

The weekend’s “Mardi Gras” theme will offer a variety of events and activities, including parades, performances, food and fireworks.

“Homecoming provides us the opportunity to reconnect and celebrate,” said Rose Frierman, chair of the Homecoming Committee.

“The great selection of scheduled activities offers something for everyone. We’re looking forward to providing the opportunity for students, faculty, staff and alumni to get together to catch up and have a good time.”

Jason Kupperman, Student Association vice president of university programming, said of Homecoming: “It’s a week to allow traditions to develop and be carried out over time. There’s going to be lots of activities, prizes and, of course, Mardi Gras beads. Students and everyone else are going to have a blast.”

Alumni are encouraged to stop in at the Homecoming Welcome Center, located under the Peace Quad tent from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, October 9.
