Executive to speak during Homecoming weekend

Margaret Lamphere Bellville ’75 will address a variety of audiences on campus on Friday, Oct. 21, as part of Homecoming weekend.

Bellville is the past executive vice presi-dent/COO for Charter Communications, and has been recognized as one of the top female executives and innovators in the fast-changing cable and telecommunications industry. She’s now a partner in Carter-Baldwin, a national executive search firm.

Events will include:

For faculty/staff: Women as Leaders: Personal Power and Risk Taking, 8:30-9:30 a.m., Anderson Center Reception Room. RSVP to or 777-2431.

For all students: It’s all about Broadband: The Engineering and Business Revolution, Career Development Center’s Employee Speakers Series, 10:40-11:40 a.m., UU-221B.

For female student leaders: Rising Stars: Future Women Leaders. Fifty student leaders will be invited to attend this luncheon.

For alumni and all members of the University community: Women as Leaders: Personal Power and Risk Taking, 3:30-5 p.m.,

Anderson Center Reception Room. Bellville will offer insights on topics such as competing in the workplace, developing mentoring relationships, finding a work and home life balance, breaking through the glass ceiling and being a rose among marigolds.

These events are sponsored by the Binghamton University Alumni Association, Foundation and Career Development Center.
