Kentucky college official named to Binghamton job
Kogut was selected from a deep pool of highly qualified candidates, Van Voorst said.
“We wanted a person who will take into account where we’ve been as we look at where we’re going,” he added. “Breadth of experience is important and Len’s background and campus activities position him well to help us move ahead with a number of initiatives.”

uo;ll create a team to emulate what Jim (Van Voorst) has started.”
With a broad background that includes auxiliary services, Kogut said he is excited to be joining Binghamton. “Everything that I look for seems to be here at Binghamton,” he said. “It’s an interesting area for me. I like the outdoors and community activity, so that’s what attracted me to the area. It’s a nice place to make home.”
Kogut holds a doctorate in college and university administration from Michigan State University, an MBA from Central Michigan University and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Ferris State University. A certified public accountant and certified internal auditor, he has wide university fiscal and auxiliary service as well as auditing experience at Ferris State and Western Kentucky universities and the University of Kentucky.
