Theatre Department announces season
The Binghamton University Theatre Department will present an offbeat season for 2008-09.
The House of Yes, a darkly funny play directed by Tom Kremer, will begin the season in October. It’s Thanksgiving and a hurricane is swirling outside. The Pascal home has its own storm brewing.
Anne Brady will direct Urinetown, winner of several 2002 Tony Awards, in November. The musical is a tale of greed, corruption, love and revolution in a time when water is worth its weight in gold.
Kremer will direct Fuddy Meers in March. Full of kooky characters, the play features Claire, who has a form of amnesia that erases her memory when she falls asleep.
Visiting Artist Rodrigo Núñez from Chile will direct The House of Bernarda Alba in April and May. The play is a lyrical tragedy of a family in rural Spain.
