Flags on campus in memorial of the September 11th attacks of 2001.

Remembering 9/11

Clockwise from above:
- 728 American flags, representing the number of New Yorkers killed in the events of 9/11, were planted by the Binghamton University College Republicans near the Glenn G. Bartle Library Tower.
- Anthony Villecco, a secretary in the Africana Studies Department, sings America the Beautiful, as President Lois B. DeFleur and other University employees pay their respects to the victims.
- Sophomore Phil Johnson from Suffern takes part in the Mitzvah Marathon.
- The Memorial Courtyard at the Fine Arts Building is seen on Sept. 11. The courtyard was transformed in honor of the 15 alumni who were killed on 9/11.
