BINGHAMTON, NY -- Binghamton University Vice President for Administration James Van Voorst recently received the Robert J. Wagner Business Officer of the Year Award.  This award, given by the State University of New York Business Officers Association (SUBOA), was initiated in 2005 to recognize a business officer who has consistently demonstrated outstanding performance and leadership.

During the awards presentation, it was noted that Van Voorst has consistently made significant contributions to SUBOA and SUNY with participation and leadership, demonstrated the highest professional standards, helped enhance the respect and effectiveness of SUBOA within SUNY and consistently demonstrated outstanding performance and leadership at SUNY Albany and Binghamton University.

Van Voorst received a plaque and a $500 contribution was made to the Binghamton Foundation in his name.
