Binghamton University to host Spanish courses at the Downtown Center
Binghamton University’s Office of Continuing Education and Outreach will host two courses, “Spanish for Travel” and “Spanish for Health Professionals,” at the University Downtown Center, starting the third week of January. Each course ten-week course will be taught by faculty from the Romance Languages and Literatures Department.
“Spanish for Health Professionals,” which runs from January 22 to March 25, will provide those in the medical field with assistance in interacting with immigrant populations. This course is geared towards heath care professionals and students from various fields such as dentistry, public health, social work, physical therapy, nursing and pharmacy.
“Spanish for Travel,” which runs from January 24 to March 27, will provide participants with an introduction to the Spanish language and culture, with a special emphasis on developing basic conversational abilities. This course is ideal for anyone with plans to visit Spanish-speaking countries for vacation or business.
