Walkathon to honor 9/11 victims

BINGHAMTON, NY – To honor the memory of those lost in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Binghamton University will host a “Walk to Remember” walk-a-thon on Sunday, Sept. 11.

The event will begin at 1 p.m. in the Memorial Courtyard located in the Fine Arts Building and includes a program to honor the 15 Binghamton University alumni who died in the 9/11 attacks.  At 2 p.m. the walkathon will begin from the Peace Quad. Funds raised will benefit the Twin Towers Orphan Fund and the Broome Volunteer Emergency Squad.

Participants can form a team or walk as an individual.

The walk-a-thon is sponsored by the Chabad Center for Jewish Student Life, Binghamton University Alumni Association and the Binghamton University Student Association.
