Binghamton University to hold public interest meeting

The public is invited to a meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 22, in the Tau Bearcat Clubroom in the Events Center on the Binghamton University campus to learn about a footpath and bridge the University hopes to build on the eastern edge of campus.

The footpath would allow pedestrians, bikers and small electric vehicles to safely traverse a creek before crossing Murray Hill Road to access the University’s Innovative Technologies Complex. We have reason to believe that pedestrians are currently using the property intended pathway as a shortcut, causing potential for injury.

The meeting will provide an opportunity for residents and the community to hear the University’s practical, safe solution to pedestrians traversing the creek.
