BINGHAMTON, NY – Binghamton University will host a discussion by Colin Garland, wildlife photographer, big cat specialist and founder of the Big Cat Research Project at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, in room 149 of the Science I building, on campus. This event is free and open to the public.

Garland will share his experiences and pictures from working with big cats (lions, leopards and cheetahs) in Africa. In recent years, through his ecotourism project called Raven Adventures, Garland has been instrumental in recruiting Binghamton University students to assist him with his studies. In addition to his Big Cats project, Garland is also involved with projects involving whales in California, as well as a tropical cloud forest project in Costa Rica. Raven Adventures focuses on providing young people with the opportunity to participate in conservation work in less developed countries.
