Binghamton University celebrates Earth Day 2006

Students, faculty and staff at Binghamton University will celebrate Earth Day 2006 with a zero waste, high-octane, low-energy-use festival from noon-5 p.m. Thursday, April 20, in front of the Bartle Library Tower Fountain.  Activities, which include food, fun, music and environmental education, are free and open to the public.

A Honda Green car will be on display as well as “green” products purchased from local stores, recycled retail items such as plastic t-shirts, license plate purses, water bottles and travel mugs.

Events are sponsored by the Office of Recycling and Resource Management, the Student Environmental Action Coalition, the Office of the Vice President of Administration, the Food Co-Op and Sodexho Campus Services.  For more information contact Juliet Berling at 607-777-3411 or email recycle@Binghamton.edu.
