Youth workshop concludes with performance of The King and I
Students from Binghamton University’s Summer Youth Musical Theater Workshop will perform the hit musical The King and I at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Saturday, August 13, and Sunday, August 14, in the Watters Theater, located in the Fine Arts Building, on the University campus.
The three-week workshop is comprised of area theatre students ages 12-18. Artistic Director Aaron Nicholson, Musical Director Brenda Dawe, Director Elaine Tamaru, and Conductor Todd Robinson head the workshop up. Dancers, choreographed by Jo-Ellen Hansen Dance Studio in Owego will be participating.
The Summer Youth Musical Theater Workshop is co-sponsored by the Binghamton University Music department and the office of Continuing Education and Outreach. Tickets cost $10 for the general public and $6 for students and can be purchased at the Anderson Center Box Office or at the door.
