"Mission Meltaway" is on its "weigh" to Binghamton University
Binghamton University will be offering students, faculty and staff an eight-week weight, lifestyle management class. “Mission Meltaway” which will be making its campus debut, offers a fun and challenging approach to weight loss.
Two sessions will be held, the first for students will begin at 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 15 in Health Services room 116. Another session will be held for faculty and staff at noon, Wednesday, February 16 in University Union West room 324.
“Mission Meltaway” is a nationally recognized weight management program with a group approach to weight loss. The eight-week program will incorporate diabetes prevention strategies related to improving nutrition and increasing physical activity to initiate and reinforce lifestyle changes. Group supported meetings will cover a range of topics including menu planning, nutrition, physical activity, and mental health.
This program is co-sponsored by Sodexho Campus Services and the broome County health Department.
