Binghamton University students deal to heal at annual fundraiser

The College-in–the-Woods Dining Hall at Binghamton University will be transformed into a casino on Saturday, March 15, complete with roulette, blackjack and chance wheels with all proceeds going to a good cause. The fundraising event, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., is open to the public.

Known as Casino-in-the-Woods, the annual event, hosted by the College-in-the-Woods area government, is celebrating its 31st anniversary. Each year, Casino-in-the-Woods benefits a different local organization. This year, the proceeds will go to the Room to Heal Foundation.  The organization's mission is to "re-decorate kids' rooms, play spaces, or hospitals, to create each child's room of his or her dreams" to foster a healing space where they can rest and recover.

A cover charge of $2 includes refreshments and live music from student a cappella groups. Participants purchase chips to play games of chance.
