Two free concerts to be offered at Binghamton University's Violafest 2004
Two free concerts will be offered as part of the Violafest 2004 celebration on Saturday, November 13, on the Binghamton University campus. The free concerts are open to the public.
At 1:15 p.m., guest artists will perform solos, duets and chamber music from the standard viola repertoire. The performance will take place in Casadesus Recital Hall.
At 4:45 p.m. all Violafest participants and ensembles will gather for a grand finale concert in the Anderson Center Chamber Hall.
Over 80 students and accomplished violists from across New York, Pennsylvania and New England are expected to participate in Violafest, which features a full day of workshops and concerts. Sessions are offered for Suzuki-trained beginners, public school beginners, public school students in NYSSMA levels 1 through VI, college students, professional violists, teachers and parents.
