Ballroom blitz this weekend on Binghamton University campus
Over 200 ballroom dancers will swirl over the Binghamton University campus Saturday, February 21, as part of Ballroom Dance Revolution 2004, a competitive event hosted by the Binghamton University Ballroom Dance Team.
Competitions will run throughout the day, starting at 8:30 a.m. in the University Union’s Mandela Room. Over 30 Binghamton University students and alumni will compete against dancers from 20 universities and colleges, including Stony Brook, Cornell and NYU. Tickets are $2 for daytime admission.
At 7 p.m., professional Latin World finalists Michael Wentink and Beata will take the floor in a showcase performance. Binghamton University’s breakdance troupe, the Nervous Breakdown, and International Flag Dancers, will feature as opening acts.
Tickets for the showcase performance are $10 for the general public, $5 with University identification, and $8 for USABDA members.
