Two free concerts to be offered at Binghamton University's Violafest 2003
Two free concerts will be offered as part of the Violafest 2003 celebration on Saturday, November 1, on the Binghamton University campus. The free concerts are open to the public.
At 2:30 p.m., guest artists will perform standard student repertoire from the New York State School Music Association (NYSMMA) manual. The performance will take place in Casadesus Recital Hall.
At 4:45 p.m. all Violafest participants and ensembles will gather for a grand finale concert in the Anderson Center Chamber Hall.
Over 100 students and accomplished violists from across the state are expected to participate in Violafest, which features a full day of workshops and concerts. Sessions are offered for Suzuki-trained beginners, public school beginners, public school students in NYSSMA levels 1 through VI, college students, teachers and parents.
