Decker School of Nursing to administer random survey

Binghamton University’s O’Connor Office of Rural Health Studies in the Decker School of Nursing will be conducting a survey of 5,000 randomly selected households in Delaware County.

The purpose of the survey is to collect data on some of the healthcare issues facing rural area residents. In particular, the survey will test research participation of rural area residents as well identify and address any barriers that may prevent participation.

Questionnaires will be mailed out in the coming weeks and once completed, may be returned in a postage paid envelope.

The O’Connor Office of Rural Health Studies in the Decker School of Nursing was established in 1997 by an endowment from the A. Lindsay and Olive B. O’Connor Foundation. The O’Connor Office serves to support rural health care and research in Delaware and surrounding counties.

For more information regarding this survey, please contact Lindsay Lake Morgan, assistant professor of nursing at (607) 777-6812 or at lmorgan@binghamton.edu.
