Binghamton University to hold Transfer Student Visit Day

Binghamton University will hold an information event for transfer students at 10:30 Monday, March 30. Students, both prospective applicants and those admitted for fall 2009, are invited to attend.

The morning event will feature an information session, student-led campus tours, discussion about successfully transferring coursework and attain a bachelor’s degree, and application requirements. Registration is required. Check-in begins at 10:15 a.m. in the Undergraduate Admissions lobby located in Academic Building A. Free parking is available in the campus visitors lot. Approximately 1,000 of all entering students at Binghamton are transfers with more than half coming from SUNY and CUNY two-year schools, including Broome Community College (Binghamton, NY), Onondaga Community College (Syracuse, NY), Tompkins County Community College (Ithaca, NY), Nassau Community College (Garden City, NY), Rockland Community College (Suffern, NY), Corning Community College (Corning, NY), Westchester Community College (Valhalla, NY), Dutchess Community College (Poughkeepsie, NY), Suffolk County Community College (Long Island, NY), Queensborough Community College (Bayside, NY), Kingsborough Community College (Brooklyn, NY) and Fiorello H. LaGuardia Community College (Long Island City, NY).
