International Education Advisory Committee Charge
The International Education Advisory
Committee is responsible for advising
the Provost on the academic merit,
overall value and viability of agreements
for international cooperation into
which the University may wish to
enter. With an awareness of the mission
and character of Binghamton University,
the committee recommends immediate
and long-term directions for the
growth and development of international
education. The committee also advises
the Office of International Programs
on the implementation of sound programming
and suggests mechanisms for periodic
evaluation of Binghamton's international
partnerships and study abroad programs.
The IEAC membership includes faculty
representatives from the four professional
schools, and Harpur sciences, social
sciences, humanities, foreign languages,
and area studies. There is also representation
from the English-as-a-Second Language
Program, the Languages Across the
Curriculum (LxC) program, the Office
of International Student and Scholar
Services, and the Provost’s
office.
For information about current activities
of the IEAC, contact the
Office of International Programs.
