Students attending Hanyang University's International Summer Campus have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the culture of Korea by participating in various field trips, excursions, and cultural programs. Hanyang Buddy Students offer a "buddy" system of native students who are eager to help international students adjust to life at Hanyang University.
Field trips include opportunities to explore Korean culture and history at Gyeongbokgung (Royal Palace), Insadong, Korean Folk Village, and an overnight stay in a traditional "hanok" in Jeonju. Other excursions include NANTA, a musical performance that integrates Korean tradition samul nori (drumming) and a modern comedic stage show, a trip to see the stunning views from the N Seoul Tower, and the Boryeong Mud Festival.
Students are housed in the Student Residence Hall or in an off-campus apartment building arranged by Hanyang University, which are conveniently located within a 5-minute walk from the classrooms. All students share a room with a roommate and each room is furnished with separate beds, closets, and desks. Among the facilities available in the Residence Hall are a study hall, snack shop, shower rooms, a laundry room, and a cafeteria. All rooms are equipped with Internet connection and laundry machines are available in each dormitory for free. Please note that the total fee of the program does not include meals. Students can have meals at various student cafeterias on campus or at nearby restaurants both on and off campus.
