Dawn Osborne-Adams is the University Ombudsman. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Georgetown University, a Juris Doctor from New York University and has completed significant graduate studies in the LL.M. program at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law. Dawn is a trained mediator and facilitator and enjoys working with individuals and groups through informal processes that empower those impacted by conflict. During her free time, Dawn enjoys hiking with her family, cooking, and exploring in and around Binghamton. Prior to joining the Binghamton University community, Dawn was a Manager of Alternative Dispute Resolution Programs for the federal judiciary in Los Angeles, California.
Michelle Harder is secretary to the Ombudsman. She has worked at Binghamton University since 2000.

To better ensure confidentiality, appointments may also be arranged at other locations.
The Office of the university Ombudsman observes University core operating hours. The office is open between 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.during the academic year and 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. during the intersessions. Meetings with the Ombudsman can be arranged outside of those hours with advance notice. To assure confidentiality of communications, using e-mail to discuss visitor concerns is generally discouraged.
