Plantation Places: Cotton, Sugar, Coffee and the Making of Nineteenth-Century Slaveries

A panoramic tour of the exhibition "Plantation Places: Cotton, Sugar, Coffee and the Making of Nineteenth-Century Slaveries," which features reproductions of over 130 pieces of material and visual culture. The exhibition, on display through Dec. 15, at the University Art Museum in the Fine Arts Building, focuses on slave plantation landscapes in the U.S. South, and cotton plantations; Cuba, for its sugar plantations; and Brazil, for its coffee plantations.
